Islamist governmentReader comment on item: Understanding Islam Submitted by steveN (United States), Jun 22, 2012 at 16:47 There have been over 120 missiles launched into Israel this week alone (can we assume that the Egypt elections have been the influence?) and therefore the consensus is generally that having islamists govern is an immediate danger for neighbors. I would like to ask Schills whether he cares if people are mistreated/massacred or whether he is simply considering US interests. If the former, then having Islamists in power makes life even more difficult for those inhabitants since they must abide by Sharia law and people are in fear for their lives because they held hands or went out unsupervised or some such nonsense. But if you are saying that it is none of our business whether these people suffer, are massacred or abused, then that is another matter altogether.
