Real muslim

Dear Dr Pipes:

Reader Havas from Turkey once again used the very very very tired argument that any body who is even slightly bad is not a real Muslim. According to Havas Saudis are not real Muslims, anyone who likes capitalism is not real Muslim, terrorists, of course, are not real Muslims. The concept of 'real muslim' (also, often, called 'true muslim') is so elusive that it is utopian. For all practical purposes, real muslims do not and cannot exist.

Or, until you shoot the gun, you are the real muslim and as soon as you press the trigger you become a not-real muslim, Actually, this is a 'head I win tails you lose' option for the apologists.
