Nobels are a recognition of an achievement in a field, but in no way does that lessen the influence of the "losers". Bollywood cinema from India is known by most people around the world, you know. Whereas I don't quite see any cultural influence coming out from Israƫl, or even Sweden, to some extent. It could be that I'm not looking in the right places though, admittedly.
