The Root of the Problem

The fundamental basis of our culture and government in the United States is Freedom, particularly freedom of Religion. Therefore it is impossible for us to fault a religion without compromising our basic principles. The Totalitarians use it against us, and the Islamists use it against us. When people write to their congressmen about political Islam, they get a polite note back reciting our freedom of religion. The only strategy that would have a chance would be to focus on the totalitarian nature of Islam. It is a Totalitarian political system. It is only hiding under the guise of religion because that has proven to be an effective way to control people. That, and Guns and Swords, of course.
