Misleading BibliographyReader comment on item: The U.S. Government Compiles a Bibliography Submitted by thereality (United States), May 26, 2013 at 00:43 As Daniel Pipes aptly puts it, this is an apology posing as a bibliography. It has nothing of any consequence to reveal the true nature of Islam and particularly the true nature of Islamism, which is the driving force behind the worldwide terrorism taking place most especially in the West, but also all over the world. As Pipes claims, this bibliography softens the picture of Islam that is conveyed. It seeks to convince people that Islam is, indeed the religion of peace. Meanwhile, there is untold and unspeakable violence emanating from the Islamic world. Unfortunately, too many of us in the West are not psychologically prepared to accept the fact that we are essentially at war with Islam. Of course, we do not include the peaceful Muslims who abhor the violence taking place. But the reality is that we in the West need to face the fact that Islam has a "menacing side" which is not addressed at all in this bibliography, which seeks to convey the softer side of Islam. However, many of us have observed this unfortunate phenomenon long enough now to see the reality and, hopefully, are better equipped to defend ourselves and defend our Western civilization.
