Very interesting indeed I wonder what would Churchill be saying about the Islam of today in Britain? Would he utter the word "islamophobia" and visit Tablighee mosques and declare that Islam is a European religion? I guess we will never know

As for the toxic brew of the New Left and Islamists there is hope that historians are debunking albeit slowly Muslim claims about Islam and their own history It all started in the late 19th century with Wellhausen Goldziher and Lammens The catalyst was the vast access to known and unknown Muslim texts in Arabic and most important the rigorous historical method Also using the methodologies adopted in Biblical literary criticism and applying them in the study of Muslim texts the Qur'an included For example Wansbrough was able to detach Muhammad from the Qur'an and Islam from al-Hijaz and no one has been able to refute him yet

In 2012 Washington DC's National Geographic Museum was the host to a travelling Muslim propaganda collection (which I understand it was praised by Obama) called "Scientific Achievements of the Medieval Muslim Civilization"

The trouble here is the word علم or 'Ilm or Science only meant the knowledge of the book of Allah and Islamic literary sources

Muslims had great dislike for what is now called science and there is a famous story where Omar was asked about what to do with the books of the Greeks and Persians in the Library of Alexandria and the Library of Ctesiphon and his answer was and I'm paraphrasing: If it is not in the book of Allah then burn them (the books of learning) and if it is in the book of Allah then they are not needed and burn them Whether this story is correct of not the reality is the so called Islamic sciences were advanced not because of Islam but despite of Islam
