veteran terrorists discriminated againstReader comment on item: Lessons from the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List Submitted by myth (Germany), Jun 26, 2013 at 07:51 True, there is religious and racial profiling and prejudice in modern terrorism. Veteran-terrorists from the IRA or RAF have been raising the issue for years. Back in the 70ies it was good enough to travel with a forged passport under a common name in Germany, say Robert Mueller. But today one has at least to go for Mohammad Mueller. Why? There is no way to get decent explosives without at least boasting an Islamic name. Also there is no longer any funding for bigger operations unless one comes up with some Islamist narrative. Pluralism of ideologies went out of the window. In the old days it took years to come up with one's own ideological miscarriage. Today, one finds it on the shelf of the Islamic bookshop next door. The Old Guard of terrorists sit at home, out of work, desperately learning Arabic. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
