MERS-CoV and BurqaReader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas as Impediments to Health Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jul 1, 2013 at 02:22 Dear Dr Pipes: When I see some families on our city streets with women dressed in hijabs, burqas, and niqabs while their male companions dressed confortably in shorts, t-shirts and jeans, I smell a little bit of hypocrisy. But now that you have shown that burqas prevent MERS-CoV, the writing is clearly on the wall and the playing field is finally equal: Saudi men should also wear burqa, niqab and hijabs. No more inequality, no more hypocrisy, no more nothing!
