Russia and Iran have been cooperating for a long time. It's nothing recent.

The $15 Billion arms deal is chump change for Saudi Arabia and Russia. Russia cannot be seen dumping it's only reliable ally (Syria) for a mere $15 Billion. Their diplomatic credibility would be ruined.

The implication in the discussion is that Saudi Arabia is an ally of the United States. I do not believe this. Saudi Arabia is a trading partner of the United States; nothing more.

I agree with Dr. Pipes. Saudi policy is made in Riyadh.

U.S. policy is made by the best government Saudi petrodollars can buy.
