Professor, it is tempting, yet dangerous, to look at the overlap between economics and the "I and thou" relationship between creator and created.

Your second point is well taken, especially for countries like Canada, because OPEC is a partial list of countries that export oil.

Before oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia, and elsewhere in that neck of the woods, the words of the Caliph, or Sultan - they were obeyed.

Nonetheless, Professor, good try to point out the positives.
