Sayed Zayed also issued a fatwa in 2007 that permits the marriage between human beings and the Jinn! And no I'm not kidding you and here is the link

There is no doubt that this was bizarre and this is why many moderate and liberal Muslims in Egypt want to see fatwas only issued by Shiekh al-Azhar and many of them even go one more step and want to see all of what they call الخزعبلات والعبط or superstitions and idiocy in the Ahadith deleted from the Islamic historical tradition the likes of the bizarre breast feeding of the adult

However like anything in Islam the same Shiekh is regarded as a voice of moderation and again I'm not kidding you because he opposed the fatwas that calimed that Muslim women in Egypt should not touch bananas and cuccumbers because they resemble the male genital organ
