One needs to read the Quran before coming to any conclusions about Islam

Sir,

I have read the Quran, and if I had not done that I probably would not disagree with what you are saying. Most people believe that most religions are 'peaceful'-I find this is not the case with the Quran*

I have no problem agreeing with the obvious-the west has fallen deeply into 'misconduct'-that is not at the heart of my disagreement..

What is at the heart of my disagreement is the tactics dictated by Allah to his people in this ancient text and his 'final' solution to the Muslim struggle-known as jihad that all muslims must perform at some level in their own lives to ensure entrance into heaven...this is where I have the problem.

It does not allow for peaceful co-habitation in any part of the world-it endorses violence and condones horrific acts against humanity even if they bow and accept Allah and agree to pay the tax to Allah.

I have a serious problem with sharia law and its violent nature which has no place in today's society and indeed threatens to take us all back to 623 b.c. where one is stoned for blasphemy etc-

In order for anyone to be comfortable with this religion it (the Quran) should be re-translated/re thought/ etc-in its present state, though its ideas are acceptable, the violence within is not-and that is the very reason why it was denounced by all noted religions back in 632 as a violent cult. Rightfully so-
