The Satanic verses or الايات الشيطانية and Prince Charles

And in short what the verse says is that Allah abrogates what the devil would "reveal" to a prophet.

al-Tabari quotes Q53:19-20 as an example

{ أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّى وَمَنَاة الثَّالِثَة الْأُخْرَى

Or Did you not see Allat and al-3Uza and al-Manat (these are supposed to be pagan godesses and also the daughters of Allah)) the other third

Then al-Tabari says

أَلْقَى عَلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَان كَلِمَتَيْنِ : " تِلْكَ الْغَرَانِقَة الْعُلَى , وَإِنَّ شَفَاعَتهنَّ لَتُرْجَى

Or and satan told him (Muhammad) two words (sentences) these high al-Gharaneeq (Cranes) and their intercession is desired

And here is the meaning of the word al-Gharaneeq or cranes

So this is as clear as we can get. Then we are told by al-Tabari that Gabriel alerted him to what happened and this is why Allah revealed Q22:52

The question is how come Prince Charles was not aware of such story? My only guess is there are blatant liars among East Indian Muslims and Pakistanis and Prince Charles did listen and believe them. The Arabs?
