Annexing the "Territories" is not "Expanding"Reader comment on item: Turkish Support for ISIS Submitted by Michael S (United States), Jul 5, 2014 at 16:24 Israel should certainly keep out of the way of the bickering Arabs in the states around it. What it does inside Isreal, however, should not be held captive to the madness of its neighbors. If Israel were to annex, say, Area C today; or if it were to lay the foundation stone of the Temple on the open courts of Mount Moriah, would the Arabs stop fighting one another and suddenly unite to fight Israel? Think about it. Arabs have been united in their HATRED of Israel since the day Sarah expelled Hagar; and they haven't balked at turning this hatred into genocidal campaigns. What has kept them from this has been: (1) God's hand of protection over Israel, which even today is causing her enemies to go at one another like the gingham dog and the calico cat, and (2) The intrinsic character of the Arab people, prophesied over Ishmael, that "their hand will be against every man". Israel, unlike Ishmael, has a covenant to keep with God -- including commandments to take and hold the land God has VERY CLEARLY delineated for them. This is not a matter of what the Arabs do, any more than how I order my own marriage is dependent on how my neighbors manage theirs. Gary Clarke is right. There has never been a better time, for Israel to set some matters straight. It is time for the Jews to stop the desecration of the Temple Mount. The Arabs have a mosque just to the south of it; Fine -- Let them keep it. But the Temple area was entrusted to the Jews, to keep it holy and not trodden down by outsiders. Whether or not they build a temple there is nobody's business but their own. Do they think Messiah needs to build it? Like a great Carpenter? Fine! What matters, is that the Arab Goiim have no business there, and that it's the duty of the Jews, before God, to keep them out. It's also high time, for Jews to fully claim, and exercise their full sovereign rights over, the land they live on. If they can't even do this on lands they "own", by every even-handedly-applied international convention (Cyprus 1974, anyone?), then do the Jews of the world expect the world to care for them on land they don't even have title to? What ever happened to "democracy"? Since when, does the world advocate that the people of an area should be ruled by interests on the other side of the world. Does the world advocate that the US tell the Bhutanese how to rule Bhutan? or tell the Poles how to run Poland? If not, then neither should they tell the Jews of Israel how to rule the Jews of Israel. What better time to assert this right, than now, while our enemies are tragically weak?
