Leftist, feminist academic tyranny

I lost my academic career at a major university in 2002 because I was the only professor that came out against militant Islam (suggesting that radical Islam was and is a threat to Western Civilization). I had a reputation for being the most conservative member of the faculty (which was misplaced as I am a Classical Liberal in the mold of our Founding Fathers). I had a reputation for vigorously defending the right of my intellectual opponents (leftists, homosexuals and radical feminists) to express their views. However, I encouraged students to think for themselves and offered readings and opinions from both extreme sides to any social issues. Not to be.

The stranglehold that the left has on any social science department is ironclad. Students have been suckled at the breast of socialism and self-esteem for so long that they lack intellectual discipline and actually believe the touchy-feely nonsense forcefed them by the "victim and oppression" studies departments masquerading as Black studies, Women's studies, Chicano studies, Queer theory, ad naseum.

The lynchpin of all liberally dominated social science departments is that America is to be hated, that there are no moral codes that are superior to others, that all behavior, no matter how aberrant is to be "understood and tolerated", and that academic autonomy, rigor, and the mere asking of certain questions is to be construed as evidence of racism, homophoebia, or fascism.

Small wonder most college graduates are less educated and literate than were highschool graduates of the 1950s and earlier.
