Palestinian LifeReader comment on item: Music and Islamists Submitted by Elena (United States), Aug 9, 2014 at 01:14 I can't imagine what "traditional Palestinian music" is since there is probably no difference between that and other arab music. What is apparent , though, is that while the Palestinians hate Israel with all their hearts, they could not survive WITHOUT Israel. Whether it is medical attention for their musicians after being beaten by their Palestinian audiences, music -- since it is outlawed by Hamas and a risky pasttime in the PA, water, electricity, food -- you name it -- the people who claim to be the indigenous people of the area are void of , well, everything that isn't provided by someone else -- most often Israel. They are like enraged teenagers -- constantly rebelling against their parents but lost without those parents. They are incapable of doing or being anything on their own. Salaheddin is right: these people without tradtions are nothing but robots, controlled entirely by the arab thugs that rule them and dependent on Israelis to heal their wounds, feed them and provide them with the basics as one would a child. They have a completely dysfunctional situation --a psychotic and violent father (Hamas and the PA) and a mother (Israel) who is always rescuing them . I see no reason for these people to ever change.
