Overcoming Propaganda with the Truth - of YeshuaReader comment on item: Lessons of the War in Gaza Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Aug 22, 2014 at 15:45 Before the 'first of all' that there was/is [Islamic State](sic), there was a beginning on this terrestrial globe by which the first of the species called human engaged in acts of rebellion and outright acts of inhumanities against one another. That era was decimated; and saving for eight souls to repopulate the earth, the lessons to be learned to not engage in such depravities survived to the later generation to provide a reminder of one hard to fathom fact about humanity: the evil that can abide in the human heart will always be tapped for terror by those who do not have the capacity for human compassion. Human insecurity is a much of the fabric of humanity as is the capacity for terror and the ability, or inability, to control fear in one's life. This can occur on differing levels of the psyche. If not properly understood, the propensity for allowing it to get out of control is increased and the capacity for opposing it with some type of courage is compromised. Enter propaganda. The 'islamic state' and the Islamic State of mind are, in certain perspectives, opposing conditions of a certain presence of mind. Conflicting views of Islam going all the way back to the succession arguments are still present today and much of what is being seen, by which certain Muslim perspectives of apostasy are held with great disdain towards others, makes it hard to discern what is the greater evil: fundamentalists who exert terror as the only means to get a questioning world's attention on the coming caliphate; or the more 'moderate' Muslim population who would rather comport their lives to a more peaceful coexistence but are in jeopardy of extermination by the same terror that the world still cannot control. What the 'IS' terrorist dynamic purports to impose is similar to the same ideology that swept through the Middle East and beyond over a thousand years ago; and they are trying still to overcome the world. The problem is that without using the fear of death for noncompliance, no one who seeks living a peaceful life is buying into their ideology. What is not understood is that fighting for a peace of freedom is a better outcome that fighting to obtain subjugation of a conquered soul. The subliminal spiritual application is palpable and the fear in this realm lends to all sorts of moral complications. So, propaganda aside, what is the dynamic that can be taken away from observing how the 'IS' seems able to get the worlds' attention? Let us go back to the basic premise and what is being seen: fear is the rule of the moment for those who are not able to grasp what history has already taught. Judgment awaits evil and a greater freedom from evil is obtainable through this simple fact of life: Islam never conquered the truth of Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ and never will. Learn and accept the truth of a life sheltered in His name and Islam will be understood for what it really is: an attempt to replace Christianity as the Church started by Jesus Christ. It was true from before two thousand years ago and it is still true today.
