Muslim World's reaction to Sisi

Daniel, you did not really address the most important aspect of Sisi's speech. While you noted "faint applause" from his audience, you did not otherwise address the reaction of the Muslim world. Sure, we in the West think it's great, but that's essentially irrelevant. If the religious leaders (and other Muslim world politicians) truly think he made sense, then yahoo.

Given our Saudi allies continue to lop off heads in chop chop square, and are flogging a blogger, I don't see any real change. There is also the related issue of, even if many imans think Sisi makes sense (this being a BIG if), they might well be too afraid for their lives to say so. And I also suspect not too many religious leaders would agree, either because it means...they don't agree...and/or they don't want to give up their power.
