Islam is a MisnomerReader comment on item: More on the Term "Islamic Fascists" Submitted by Tariq Bey (United States), Feb 25, 2015 at 17:18 The word, "Islam", means, "to be in submission (to Allah)" or "one who has submitted (to the will of Allah)". If you were to replace the word Islam with its meaning would it still make sense? "One who is in submission to Allah is a fascist". Your understanding puts people against one another, if you were Islam you would understand that peace begets peace and that there is no such thing as peace through force (strength), to suggest or say such is just another way of justifying the oppressing another group of people. If one looked at two equivalent expressions but did not know they were equivalent it would be the perspective of the unlearned that there the two are not equivalents i.e. one would not recognize their equal counterpart because they appear to be very different from self. ( Ex. 1/2 = 0.5 ) The example illustrates the passage. Would it not be in error for the fraction, in the example above, to assume itself of greater or lessor worth than the decimal? This is what undermines peace and how conflict comes to be and why it is sustained. The inability to see the same in what appears to be different.
