VulnerableReader comment on item: 3 French Soldiers, 3 Sitting Ducks Submitted by Arm them (Canada), Apr 14, 2015 at 21:42 I believe that unarmed soldiers are even more vulnerable than the general public. Soldiers are specifically targeted and must be able to shoot terrorists when required. They have military training and must be able to use it. Two Canadian soldiers were killed by terrorists in Canada recently. Had the Sargent at arms in the Canadian parliament not been armed and able to kill the terrorist, tens or even hundreds of people may have been killed. Until all soldiers and police in France and elsewhere are armed I will not travel there. The general public is typically not armed so the experts must be. Otherwise the travel industry, the cultural venues, commerce and shopping will experience a decline due to frightened patrons.
