Against all evidence to the contrary, I must sadly demur from accepting Dr. Pipes' assertion in this respect. Absent a compelling counterforce from the West, it appears as though the dark wave of Islam will continue to hold sway, perhaps until the inevitable AI Singularity injects some much needed higher intellectual momentum into the dynamic.
