In it's post ww2 fight with capitalism and the creation of Israel, Islam became the symbol of tradition for the "paleoconservatives" of the West.The leftists chose it just in opposite hopes. The Golden Age idea demonstrate the human's fear of the future and explains kindness to Islam.
