You say many profound things here; but perhaps the most salient is your quote of Michael Freund:

as strong and robust as the American Jewish community might be, it cannot and will not last forever, as recent demographic trends make clear. That leaves evangelical Christians as the best hope for ensuring that bedrock US support for Israel remains firm and unwavering in the decades to come.

As you and your team have reviewed my comments, you no doubt have picked up on my thinking about what is to come in the decades ahead: I foresee in the near future, perhaps in 2020-2030, a time of great governmental and academic adversity against the State of Israel, coupled with an equally great adversity against and persecution of Bible-trusting Christians. These would be the times, as you probably know me to believe, of the fulfillment of many "end-times" prophecies in books such as Ezekiel, Daniel, Zechariah and Revelation. The last of those books even speaks (referring back to the words of Haggai the prophet) of "Two Witnesses" standing up in the last days on behalf of both Israel and those who trust in the God of Israel. I personally believe those "Two Wintesses" are representative, roughly, of a portion of Jews and a portion of, for want of a better word, "Born-again Christians".

An interesting article has just come to my attention, the results of a Pew Research survey in 2013. One of the conclusions of the survey is,.

Indeed, in a few ways, Orthodox Jews more closely resemble white evangelical Protestants than they resemble other U.S. Jews. For example, similarly large majorities of Orthodox Jews (83%) and white evangelicals (86%) say that religion is very important in their lives, while only about one-fifth of other Jewish Americans (20%) say the same. Roughly three-quarters of both Orthodox Jews (74%) and white evangelicals (75%) report that they attend religious services at least once a month. And eight-in-ten or more Orthodox Jews (84%) and white evangelicals (82%) say that Israel was given to the Jewish people by God – more than twice the share of other American Jews (35%) who express this belief.

Other similarities are noted, between the Orthodox (Jews) and Evangelicals -- supporting my understanding that in these end times -- in matters of deep faith, where we all actually live -- there are essentially only two peoples in the world:

1. Deep Bible believers, be they Jewish or Christian, with the State of Israel as a point of contact, and
2. The masses in the Nations.

...and these two groups are becoming increasingly at war with one another. On the face of it, it looks like a very unequal contest: except for the fact that there seems to be an "Invisible Hand" that continually tips the scales in Israel's favor -- so much so, that Israel's enemies imagine a great, all-powerful conspiracy against them. That "Invisible Hand", of course, is the God of Israel.
