Nothing changes.Reader comment on item: Nightmare on Temple Mount Submitted by Sheerahkahn (United States), Sep 4, 2002 at 14:25 Alas, the temple mount will collapse, the world will hold its breath....,and pass out waiting for the other shoe to drop. The Israelis have made it known world wide that the wall is collapsing, and the Arab world twirls it's finger in the air, mocking the Israelis "chicken little" complaints. When the wall comes tumbling down the world will know that the Israelis said it would and the blame should rightfully fall where it belongs, in the lap of the Arab world. However, what will really happen is this. The prima donna of the Palestinians will tour the site of the collapse, wag his head, and blame the Israelis for this "criminal act." No one will believe him, no one will listen to him, and he will rant and rave proclaiming "Jewish treachery," in the collapse. Hamas will vow revenge for the wall obeying the laws of gravity, Islamic Jihad will chant inane slogans that mean something only to them and to those who suffer from the same psychosis, and through it all the UN will send a fact finding group. There, at the wall, the group will be poking and prodding the rocks, humphs and hums will be heard, long faces on people looking for a spot in the limelight will wander the debris field while giving urbane lectures on engineering practices to the media. And after all that hewing and hawing, the end result will be a long winded paper that means nothing to anyone because no-one was blamed for anything. In short, except for a slight topography change on one spot of the globe, the sun will still rise in the east and set in the west. Time goes on, and nothing changes. Sheerahkahn
