Iran vs PakistanReader comment on item: India-West Asia Relationship Can Swing Either Way Submitted by Anon (United States), Feb 28, 2016 at 03:53 There is almost no direct threat from Iran to India compared to Pakistan. Lets face it, Iranian gunmen are never going to descend on Mumbai by boat on a death mission to kill Indians, Jews and anybody else they can find as happened with Pakistan in 2008. Pakistan is the biggest threat to India and they are a much much worse problem than Iran is to Israel. They have fomented a violent Islamic separatist movement for decades that has claimed tens of thousands of lives in Kashmir. \ The incident mentioned in this article was a targeted retaliation to the killing of Iranian scientists by Israel and wasn't really a terrorist attack on India even though it happened on Indian soil. Israel and Iran have a complicated history but Pakistan is a much more serious problem in the region. They are unstable, have a radicalized culture that easily produces terrorists, have a fast growing nuclear arsenal and were caught sheltering Bin Laden of all people. Compared to Iran, Pakistani terror is a DIY franchise which has lots of survival power.
