The Oldest HatredReader comment on item: The Left vs. Israel Submitted by Jon, a Brit in Euroland (France), Jun 1, 2016 at 19:27 Seems a pity to beat around the bush... The Oldest Hatred, which has contributed so much to Europe over the 17 centuries since it was first formalised by the early Popes of Rome (long before the Vatican had been imagined), is back on the streets after a remission of 60 years. Guilt for the Holocaust, for passive and active contributions to that industrialisation of the humble traditional pogrom, has expired, and that was all that was holding "It" back, and that guilt feeling has expired. Of course today the process of reestablish the "way things were" is being boosted by the fact that anti-semitism is about the only cultural consensus between Europe, and the Migrants for the lands of Islam, and of course by the left's Political Correctness: "Political Correctness is fascism pretending to be Manners."
