Turkish President claims N. Iraq and N. Syria as part of Turkey; has troops and armor in these areasReader comment on item: The Latest about the Mosul Dam Submitted by Michael S, Oct 24, 2016 at 01:33 Hello, Daniel Perhaps the dam will have some significance in the future; but the most interesting thing to happen lately concerning Mosul, is Turkey's President Erdogan's claiming both Mosul, Iraq and Aleppo, Syria as Turkish territory: https://engineeringevil.com/2016/10/17/turkey-claims-the-iraqi-city-of-mosul-belongs-to-them/ NOTE: THE ABOVE CONTAINS A MAP, WHICH EXPLICITLY SHOWS TURKISH CLAIMS. A year ago, one could dismiss this as bluster; but now, Turkey has troops and tanks on the ground in both Iraq and Syria.
