Deliberately hypocritical Islamists and naively ignorant non-Muslims

Dear Dr Pipes,

Within two days of Trump's winning the presidential election an unexpected side-effect of this victory is emerging. Rather than looking inward and doing some intro-inspection, Islamists are busy drawing the maximum mileage out of it. I am not surprised that the above CAIR office bearer cited by you invoked the Arab Spring slogan to bring down the regime in the context of US elections. The opinion expressed by Islamists and their apologists seems to implyng that US has become a bad country by electing Donal Trump.

It is well known and repeated by many people in many places that Islamists love democracy in the countries where they are in minority but in Muslim majority countries they want theocracies to be established and sustained. This fact is so blatantly clear to me that the only way I can explain it is that Islamists are intentionally hypocrites. They fully well know that it is absurd for them to demand secular democracy in all but Islamic countries but they feign innocence.

As much as Muslims and Islamic apologists are intentionally hypocrites, non-Muslims are naively ignorant. How can a non-Muslim not realize that it is wrong for Muslims to continue with the above double standards? Why do we allow Islamic countries to be judged on a scale on which reciprocity and fairness have no value? The only way I an explain it is that some of us are hopelessly naive.

What Muslims need to realize is that Trump's America must not be compared with Obama's America. Obviously Trumps America is much more conservative and to the right than Obama's America. Instead both Trump's America and Obama's America need to be compared with Islamic theocracies which are centuries behind the time and are on the wrong side of history. Each one of us needs to repeat this point until it fully sinks into every Islamic mind. Islam will not look pretty until it recognizes that secular democracy is the only legitimate way to live in modern world.
