With friends like Dr. Pipes .... beware.Reader comment on item: Will Donald Trump Be Impeached? Submitted by Moderate Pragmatist (United States), Mar 8, 2017 at 11:07 I think its clear Trump is no Nazi or closeted fascist and everyone else is clear on that too. Why don't we stop fanning the flames of our enemies. So how about elite establishment types help out instead of putting out stuff like "House Republicans would prefer Pence over Trump and would jump at the opportunity to Impeach Trump" (paraphrased from this radio show); then at the same time Dr. Pipes acknowledges that Trump's problems are mainly the result of partisan shenanigans produced by the Obama and Clinton camps. It is wrong to talk like this without dispelling the notion that Trump has done nothing that is remotely an impeachable offense. A large part of Trump's problem is the total lack of support from the conservative establishment who is secretly hoping for his demise and the establishment being rescued by Pence. This is shameful.

Daniel Pipes replies: I hope Trump has a successful presidency but I also see him as impeachment bait unless he reforms and matures. Reader comments (6) on this item
