Trump and Israel.Reader comment on item: Will Trump Turn Against Israel? Submitted by Prakash Khatiwala (India), Apr 3, 2017 at 00:02 While wishing Israel well and laud her contributions in various fields, her policy of building new colonies at the expense of Palestinians irks people who believe in equality of justice for one and all and the state's hegemony and double standards when dealing with different sets of people. If Nick Halley reportedly lamented the resolutions passed against the State of Israel, it is against her ethos or what she has been known to stand for or against. It will not too long before she gets sick of representing Trump presidency at UN. There now exists a historical opportunity for Israel to play a constructive role in Middle East which she should not squander by inviting avoidable criticism. Trump is not going to be around for long and neither he will be able to impact the political establishment in Washington which may keep on favoring Israel while she keeps on treading over the legitimate rights of other stake holders In Israel. Time to ponder, isn't? Submitting....
