Turkey's Vainglorious Referendum

Dr. Pipes has correctly pointed out the dangerous path Erdogan's vindictive party is taking Turkey, the only Muslim country that was fairly democratic in a sea of religious and political absolutism. Erdogan is doing to Turkey what Robert Mugabe did and is doing Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia which was democratically ruled and one of Africa's most successful agricultural countries.

Mugabe and Erdogan share common theme, rejection of and hate for Western industriousness and democratic values.
