The designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and the "Deep State"Reader comment on item: [Symposium] What Conservative Historians Are Saying about Trump's First 100 Days Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), May 13, 2017 at 09:46 Hi Michael The building blocks of the "Deep State" are the DC political establishment, MSM the likes of the NYT, the State Dept carrier diplomats and "Think Tanks" and all these building blocks' aim, and to be blunt, is to make a living and have a job! Nothing about critical examination of the issue at hand and in depth Example? The Brookings gets funds from Qatar and Qatar supports the Muslim Brotherhood therefore Brookings supports the Muslim Brotherhood and in turn Brookings lobby politicians and inform the Media that the Muslim Brotherhood should not be designated as a terror group et voila politicians listen and now we have the discredited Obama doctrine of Fight Islam (Radical) with Islam (Moderate Islam) where "Moderate Islam" becomes the Muslim Brotherhood Here is from an old post of mine Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Jul 21, 2013 at 13:19 Dr. Pipes This is an amazing interview of Mohamed Hassanain Heikal the outstanding Egyptian journalist and the editor in chief of al-Ahram for a long period of time and his views of the recent coup against Morsi and el-Ikhwan. Heikal makes it very clear that the Obama administration made a fatal mistake by what he calls محاربة الاسلام بالاسلام or fighting (militant Islam) with Islam in other words the Obama adminstration supported the MB and wanted them to come to power and remain in power because Mr Obama believed that this would defeat militant Islam which is naive at best Again Heikal believes that Mr Obama had no clue about the rule of Egyptian nationalism in the hearts and minds of even pious Muslims in Egypt and indeed this is why millions walked in what must have been the biggest political demonstration in history and indeed this was also the reason why Morsi had to go because his plans were about the caliphates and not Egypt. And his fatal mistake is politics is a local game first and last and it is about housing and jobs and the local economy and not this abstract caliphate I guess our leaders do not see beyond what they think they know and what they know is very little I wish we would have the likes of Mr Heikal in our country a man who knows how to think Here is the interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAfuz46qjzc The real problem is "Moderate Islam" becomes the terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood but no one in the Deep State will dare challenge the credibility of this flawed Obama doctrine because their jobs will be on the line Even Trump's men the likes of McMaster tells us that Daesh is not the real islam and the Muslim Brotherhood should not be designated as a terrorist organization and Trump postpones designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization If you have some time google NYT, Brookings, Shadi Hamid career diplomats in State Dept and Muslim Brotherhood and you will see for yourself how the Deep State really works BTW Bill McCants from the Brookings tweeted that Islamic Sharia is "God's Law"! I'm not kidding The truth is Adam Smith was correct that people can even sell their mothers in-order to make a living and this is in my humble opinion the Deep State is all about Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
