How's the search going? What about Clark University in Worcester MA?Reader comment on item: A Parent's Guide to College Visits Submitted by Bob Meditz (United States), Jun 5, 2017 at 20:22 Dear Dr. Pipes - If your son can get into one or more the top-notch Boston schools, he should go. But, if you are looking for an alternative, our daughter went to Clark University in Worcester MA, where she was a French and Philosophy major (Class of 2014). While Clark manifests some of the features of "politically correct" higher education, it also houses the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. CHGS is a very serious, inter-disciplinary program, which also has a PhD, and is attracting international talent. You may know that Taner Akcam, the Aremenian genocide expert, teaches there. I have been a modest, but regular, supporter of CHGS since my daughter went there, and I believe it serves to restrain the school from the worst excesses that we hear about on the news. I hope your search goes well, and would be happy to talk about Clark if you want. Best wishes, Bob Meditz Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
