Catch and release.Reader comment on item: Illegal Migrant Problem? Greece Offers a Solution Submitted by don (United States), Sep 12, 2017 at 16:22 You do realize the Americans have a similar Greek program for illegal aliens, only it's called catch and deport with dignity, sometimes after a month or so of free TB treatments requiring a six month course of antibiotics while in custody for a crime other than being illegal, and often confused with catch and release. Some of those illegal migrant dreamers are even back again in two weeks after deportation, illegally working Strawberry Fields For Ever or Disneyland, and without their free six month supply of antibiotics for active TB. Usually by their fifth cycle of catch and deport their TB or VD is antibiotic resistant, but at least they have their dignity. Daniel Pipes replies: As I understand "catch and release," it refers to "illegal immigrants subject to deportation potentially [being] allowed to "abscond" and fail to appear at removal hearings." (See http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/02/21/dhs-secretary-orders-immigration-agent-hiring-surge-end-to-catch-and-release.html). This has nothing in common with the program in Athens.
