Joseph Schechtman wrote a book based upon newspaper accounts and other documents called "The Arab Refugee Problem" - 1952/ worth a read. range of 250,000 to 360,000 then 472,000, then 750,000. everybody declared themselves as refugees and the dead never died..... and the funds flowed. great business.
