May be but more likely it goes as follows: Muslims invented the bogus Islamophobia thing. Members of the Left took notice of Islamophobia and in the twisted minds of Lefties a bogus word Islamophobia creates a new set of victims and that is Muslims.(it for sure helps that most Muslims are "brown" and many Muslimas find "empowerment" when wearing hijabs)

The Left loves victimhood (and the ultimate victim must be a brown Muslim woman who wears a hijab ala Linda Sarsour! Oh I forgot that she described herself as a white woman from Brooklyn!) and this very well explain why the Left loves a fascist ideology like Islam
