Quelle surprise, as Marxism is a total failure. Take a prosperous nation and put it under a Marxist leadership, and one shall witness the "Midas touch" in reverse. I marvel that anyone today would touch that ideology with a ten-foot pole, let alone dare to put such a proven failure into practice yet again (and again, and again). Marxism is an expression of utopianism, and all utopianism is a false promise. Every attempt at a "utopia" has paved the way to hell.
