JORDAN IS PALESTINE CONFERENCE (Held: October 17, 2017Reader comment on item: Updates on the Jordan-Is-Palestine Thesis Submitted by Robert (United States), Oct 8, 2018 at 12:41 Dear Daniel Pipes, It appears that you have overlooked an interesting conference involving the thesis that "Jordan is Palestine" which was held on October 17, 2017. In attendance was, among others, MK Yehuda Glick. The moderator was Ted Belman who has blogged on your pages here three (3). The "star" of the conference was Mudar Zahran, who appeared by Skype. The conference was controversial because it involved a discussion of the strategy Regime Change in Jordan, specifically the Deposition of King Abdullah !! of Jordan, and the replacement of the Monarchy by a Secular Democracy. I've had discussions recently by phone and by email with with Ted Belman who informed me of his friendship for 6 years with Mudar Zahran. I subsequently discovered (in an online article) that Mudar Zahran had an undiplomatic diatribe discussion (from his side) with Journalist Caroline Glick. It appears that Ms. Glick was disappointed to learn that Mr. Zahran's following is allegedly small (to put it mildly). But Mr. Zahran - apparently imitating his hero, President Donald Trump - responded with an attack on Israeli Fake Media; he clams that Ms. Glick has failed to search the Arabic Media, because she doesn't read Arabic, apparently. Nevertheless, this Conference was very interesting because of at least two (2) issues. Among the issues discussed was the fact of Unrevoked Jordanian Citizenship bestowed upon the Palestinians of the West Bank and Jerusalem during at least the 1949-1967 period when Jordan conquered, occupied, and ANNEXED these Territories to Jordan. Consequently, while Israel may subsequently claim Sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, the Palestinian residents thereof would not be deprived of any Civil or Political Rights - because they already all have Jordanian Citizenship; accordingly, Israel would recognize these Palestinians as Only Legal Residents of Israel. That would destroy Obama's Kerry that Israel would not be a Democracy because it's an Apartheid State. The second significant issue presented was (my term) a "Marshal Plan" to re-settle these Palestinian Jordanian Citizens of Jerusalem and the West Bank (at a minimum) right across the Jordan River where a City would be build which could easily accommodate Millions of bonafide Jordanian Refugees. It would take a decade perhaps to house and settle 100,000 Palestinians from the Disputed Territories, but the contemplated Program would potentially include other displaced so-called Palestinian refugees from Jordan. Ironically, this entails a real Real Estate project by Real Estate Tycoons Trump and Kushner. And the Mortgages, and Free Housing (reparations for refugee status) could come from the Saudis and the Gulf States. It is to be noted (as some conferees asserted) that the Arabs at large (non-Palestinians, of course) have lost interest in the Palestinian Cause, being preoccupied with Iran Syria, Iraq, ISIS, Al-Qaida, the Muslim Brotherhood, the disastrous threats of the Arab Spring to the ruling leaderships and dynasties under which all the other Arabs now live. One significant struggle that affects Trump's Deal of the Century appears to be the Conservatism of the reigning king of the House of Saud, and the ruling Liberal prince, MbS. That became apparent when MbS allegedly proposed Abu Dis as the future Capital of the Palestinians (not a new idea). The King apparently responded by reiterating the old policy of East Jerusalem as the future Palestinian Capitol. However, that may turn out to be the last straw that broke the camel's back: no Palestinian Capitol within the boundaries of 1967 Armistice Lines..
