Civilisationists Down Under.Reader comment on item: In Defense of Europe's "Far-Right" Parties Submitted by Reynald de Chatillon (United States), Nov 2, 2018 at 00:49 Great article. The Civilisationist parties in Europe appear to be going from strength to strength. Not so here in Australia. I am aware of five political parties in Australia that could be classified as civilisationist. They are: i.) The Katter Australia Party One of the main reasons civilisationist parties are not as influential as in Europe is probably disunity. Although these parties have their differences, one thing they all have in common is their opposition to large scale Muslim immigration into Australia. There is much disillusion with the establishment parties here in Australia and their lack of response to growing concerns and fears of Islamic immigration and terrorism. If these five parties were to get their act together, resolve their differences and merge into one party, they will emerge as a formidable force in Australian politics. The establishment will then have a real fight on their hands. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
