For an answer to what effect "the destruction of homes, buildings, and infrastructure" would have on the Arabs of Gaza, one only need go to YouTube and pull up any video of any German city on 1 December 1944 - keeping in mind the dates of the Battle of the Bulge.

To paraphrase Sherman or Patton, victory will come with the killing of wagon loads of the enemy, in conjunction with depriving one and all the basic needs of daily living, e.g. food and water.
