identifying candidates for the new regimeReader comment on item: Should Israel Invade Gaza? Submitted by myth (Germany), Oct 3, 2019 at 08:24 If Israel killed all Hamas people by friday evening who would be the next government all the way down? Prior to firing a single shot Israel must identify people to run the country. In the past that was impossible. Today it is. I can imagine analysing electronic communication from each and every one in Gaza. All it takes is a little less than 10% of the population that would be sound candidates to run the country. One can make a regime transition in a weekend's time given that list of candidates. The idea is never to end up in an occupation regime. Such a regime would eventually be followed by some Hamas-look-alike group the day Israel retreats. As a framework Israel would need to introduce non-religious institutions that would benefit everyone. Think of simple things like public libraries, sports clubs, public transport, and so on. Again, one needs the right people to run these institutions.
