When oh when? There's a country song in there somewhere. Inertia, complacency, the weight of comfort and safety, it's effect on personal psychologizing, immobilizes us. Misplaced benevolence, aka virtue signaling, is the ubiquitous prideful solipsism of the elect, Codevilla's ruling class, and those who mimic them. Ugh!
