Thank you for this piece, and I hope you delve deeper into it. Furthermore, I wholeheartedly agree with your pessimistic conclusion that this cannot end well - these people have real influence, reaching far beyond their ivory towers. Even after decades of bulls**t emanating from Western social sciences, people still automatically prostrate themselves to the latest judgment issued from these centres of "unlearning". Even Jean-Paul Sartre, whom you quote in this piece, was a critic of Khrushchev's Secret Speech that denounced Stalinist terrors; and yet his reputation remains intact in the academic world, despite this grave lapse in judgment.
