It Could be WorseReader comment on item: Is Israel Victory Still Needed? Submitted by Barry Black (United States), Oct 8, 2020 at 14:30 Whomever is the next US president looms large for Israel. Trump will continue to support Israel and establish ties with gulf monarchies. Things are quiet because of Trump's undeniable support. But a Biden victory puts Israel in dire straits. Remember as VP Biden made a visit to Israel and met with Netanyahu. During that visit Israel restarted to build in the disputed territories, after a period of peace initiative, and embarrassed Biden as well as Obama. Biden didn't forget that and will spend the first year of his presidency deconstructing Trump and that means trouble and probably a third intifada as the Palestinians sense a change in their fortune. Obama, as well as Biden, look upon Palestinians in Israel the same as Blacks in the USA in the days before racial equality.
