False Jihadi PropagandaReader comment on item: Musharraf's Historic Speech Submitted by Swahili Dinaz (India), Sep 26, 2005 at 05:20 Mushy and clan are desperately fishing in troubled waters. The rising tide is beginning to swallow them and their lies, inside and outside Pakistan. Bhutto, former President of Pakistan who was later hanged by his military successor Zia, had sworn in a radio broadcast that his nation would eat 'grass' but bleed India through a thousand cuts. Those whom the Gods wish to destroy, they first make mad. The generals were offered one last wish by Providence, in the shape of the Afghanistan War coffers, so that eating grass was not really called for. General Zia called it peanuts, in a famous broadcast. The thousand cuts materialised in various shapes; but the architects of the mad policies were victims of their own false propaganda. In reality, there is absolutely no basis for parity between India and Pakistan, and nobody stayed fooled in the long run. Now time is running out for the generals and their mad policies, and they have begun to clutch at straws in the wind, while raving and ranting at the domestic population, which they cannot hold together for too long. India holds together despite a thousand insurgencies, because the idea of India has stayed alive in the minds of its population from the beginning of time. Indian citizens have demonstrated in each election the contempt they have for leaders who are on the take. So the insurgencies, the dalitstans -- betrayed by their 'green' names -- are a pure legacy of the loot from the Afghanistan war, as any ordinary timeline will aptly demonstrate. Remember, the trouble in Kashmir followed Punjab. Once the Punjab insurgency was firmly put down by Sikh administrators and politicians in India, the ISI turned its attention to Kashmir. In the beginning, four westerners were kidnapped and beheaded by the Pakistan-based Harkat-ul-Ansar, as the terrorist training camps began exporting jihad to Kashmir! Over the last several years, despite Pak-propaganda, once again domestic tourism, trade and development routes have opened in Kashmir, and the leader of the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is now being accused by the Jihadis of a sell-out to India!!! What the Kashmiris have understood well by now, is that the ecology of Kashmir and Kashmiriyat can be safe only in India. On the other hand, 'independent Kashmir' is the kind of pipe dream that will convert this beautiful spot on earth into another devastated jihadistan like those in the western neighbourhood of Pakistan. Moreover, Kashmiri Islam has nothing in common with the dominant Sunni Wahhabi ideology of Pakistan. Kashmiri Muslim Sufism and Hindu Shaivism have grown together over centuries of harmonious co-existence, often with the same saints being revered by either community. As for Sikhs, with Kashmir now lagging behind, Pakistan is once again desperately trying to export trouble to neighbouring Punjab. But how can they succeed? It is interesting that barely a decade after the anti-Sikh riots in Delhi after the killing of Indira Gandhi by her Sikh guards, the Sikh-majority state of Punjab voted in a Congress Party government! Just as the State of Jammu and Kashmir has a Congress-coalition government now readying itself to take over the reigns of power in a rotation agreement with its regional Kashmiri partner! The Chief of Indian Army is also a Sikh gentleman! And those who foment the insurgencies are so blind to Indian history, that they are not aware that Hindu Gods, shrines and saints are equally revered by Sikh religionists! You can divide on the basis of policies and ideologies, but how can you divide the bond of love and sharing between people who have intertwined destinies for centuries together? The remaining insurgencies also have strong international ramifications with the Maoists of Nepal and Al Qaeda of Bangladesh. There too, the collective will of the Nation will prevail, rendering the megalomaniacal 'thousand cuts' to a piffling few mosquito bites in no time. We are now in a critical historical phase, the outcome of which is plain as the writing on the wall, and today Miyan Musharraf has turned around to blame the US of betrayal of Pakistan! Shall we say, Inshallah to that one?
