The British are becoming more sexualReader comment on item: An American in Search of the English National Character Submitted by Hal (United States), Jan 24, 2021 at 10:49 As a gay man, I perceive British males as becoming more sexual. By contrast, American White men still preserve the "looking-away" posture that expresses an embarrassment about male sexuality. Even American photos of male athletes are often from the belly up, as if men are sexless beings. Fortunately, the machismo of Latino and Black men are helping to correct for this, helping to sexualize American male culture. British men in depictions and behavior, appear increasingly sexually self-confident. There is an appreciation of male beauty. At the same time, this British sexuality appears more rational, embracing technology, sexbots, and so on. Brits emerge as a technological sexuality.
