So horrificReader comment on item: The Oxford Handbook of Contemporary Middle Eastern and North African History Submitted by A very concerned reader, Mar 18, 2021 at 16:04 Dear Dr Pipes, What horrific statements reported on this article! This article has terrified me and caused me shivers: "ISIS-linked extremists are reportedly beheading children in Mozambique, the BBC claimed on Wednesday". "More than 2,500 people have been killed and 700,000 have fled their homes since an Islamist insurgency began in 2017" "Reports at The New York Times and Vice say that South African and American "mercenaries" are involved. Some claim these fighters are also committing abuses. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic and other reasons that lead countries not to care about what happens in swaths of Africa, the conflict may continue until it threatens a regional capita". These people have no scrupulous. Children, women, infidels... Certainly, this is more concerning and dangerous than COVID-19. And for this disease, there won't be a vaccine. Education is key to stop the contagion. Unfortunately, in order to stop ISIS, we will need something else. Thanks David for sharing this sad article.
