A useless "debate".Reader comment on item: U.S. Policy toward the Hamas-Israel War: A Debate Submitted by There is NO Santa Claus (United States), Jun 2, 2021 at 22:46 Israel is going to defend itself. That much seems obvious. But wait! There's MORE! Israel, in defending itself is now defending TRILLIONS of dollars in foreign investment in critical infrastructure that supports the global supply-chain in critical technology and manufacturing components. All political "critics" of Israel are now hampered by this whether they like it or not. The old leftist slogans no longer hold. "There's gold in them thar hills" Today, American politicians criticizing Israel can be called directly by CEOs of corporations whose revenues far exceed their district's GDP. These CEOs are likely to say: "Hey! Do you want to be re-elected? If you do, you'd better support Israel's protecting my company's assets." It's a whole new ballgame! There's nothing the hard-left can do about it. They're fanatics and will ignore reality, but sticking to their story will eventually cost them dearly. That includes "J-Street". Sorry to see you (Dr. Pipes) had to discuss the matter with fanatics harping the same old party line. However, if they stick to their story, the course economic progress will ultimately sweep them aside. Just like the Soviet Union, their "system" is not sustainable. Sincerely, There is NO Santa Claus (aka TINSC)
