Such twisted logic makes me wonder what Erdogan is capable of doing.

I have studied Arab culture for a long time and I still find it both unpredictable and intractable—if you scold someone, they are ashamed and demoralized and withdraw from self-improvement; if you pray as them, they exploit your perceived weakness. It's totally insurmountable. The aesthetic tastes on display on poetry are also just weird.
