Don't just regret the Jews leaving. Join them.

Dear Dr Pipes, it was good to read about Moroccan Jewish tribes that resisted conversion to Islam for centuries. And, that some of those tribes still regret that the Jews were made to leave Morocco.

The more I study Islam, the more I realize that it was a ragtag concoction of spirituality created by combining ideas from Christianity and Judaism while leaving aside the best ideas of both religions.

I think Moroccans should not just miss their Jewish history; they should become Jews. My years of studying Islam indicate that it brought very little new to the religious ideas of the ME or the world. It just added intolerance, violent expansionism, non-humility and stubbornness
(dear readers, please educate me otherwise if I am wrong). I believe that the Muslims around the world who still remember through cultural traditions that they were converted by force should try to return to their old religions. Honestly, there may be punishment for apostacy here but there is no punishment for it hereafter.
